PRODUCTS & PRICES.

1. GENERAL

In these terms and conditions of trading "Steelshelving" means steelshelving4u.co.uk. "The Customer" means the customer to whom Steelshelving agrees to supply goods. " Goods" mean any goods supplied by Steelshelving to the customer. These terms and conditions shall apply to all contracts entered into between Steelshelving and the customer unless agreed to the contrary in writing by an authorised officer of Steelshelving. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Steelshelving (the supplier) these conditions which supersede any earlier sets of conditions appearing in the supplier's catalogues or elsewhere shall override any terms or conditions stipulated incorporated or referred to by the buyer whether in the order or in any negotiations and all guarantees warranties or conditions (including any conditions as to quality or fitness for any particular purpose) whether express or implied by statute common law otherwise are excluded and hereby negatived.

2. ORDERS

All orders are subject to the availability of the goods and to written acceptance by Steelshelving. Any prior indications by Steelshelving by telephone facsimile e-mail or verbally shall be provisional only. Limited stocks means that certain goods may only be available on a first come first served basis. Steelshelving shall not be liable for the unavailability of any goods whether for delivery or for collection.

3. PRICES

Catalogue, price lists and other advertising or promotional material are intended to provide an indication as to the price range of the goods offered by Steelshelving and no variations shall give rise to a claim against Steelshelving. Steelshelving reserves the right to pass on to the customer any increases or decreases in the cost of providing the goods that occur between the date of quotation and delivery.

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT at the standard rate.

Deliveries to Scotland are subject to a carriage surcharge.

Orders under £100 will also be subject to an extra £10.00 carriage charge. 

All orders over £100 are carriage FREE in England and Wales.

4. MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATION

The customer recognises that Steelshelving is only a distributor of the goods. Although Steelshelving will try to notify the customer of any variations in specification of which it is aware the customer accepts that Steelshelving cannot be accountable for the consequences of any such variations made by the manufacturer or any shortage of supplies.

5. DELIVERY

5.1 Dates and times quoted by Steelshelving for delivery run from the receipt by Steelshelving of a written order and payment. All dates and times quoted are estimates and any delay in meeting delivery dates will not give rise to a right to cancel the order or a right to any form of compensation or damages.
5.2 Offers for goods ex-stock are subject to the goods being unsold at the time of receipt of the customers order and payment.
5.3 Unless specifically included in the quotation, prices quoted do not include delivery, any delivery charges incurred by Steelshelving will normally be passed on to the customer, subject to any scale charges employed by Steelshelving at the time.
5.4 Steelshelving reserves the right to make part deliveries. Any request by the customer for Steelshelving to delay or split delivery may result in a stockholding charge and any additional costs incurred by Steelshelving being debited to the customer.
5.5 The customer must check the goods before use and in any event within the time limit specified in clause (10), no liability can be accepted for the consequential loss arising from a breach of this condition.
5.6 We can only deliver to an address that can receive the goods between Monday and Friday and the hours 8.30am to 5.00pm. Failed deliveries to business or residential addresses will incur additional charges for re-delivery.

6. PAYMENT

6.1 Unless agreed to the contrary in writing all invoices are payable by cash or debit/credit card or as stipulated on the web site before shipment of the goods. Any right or set-off in favour of the customer and against Steelshelving is hereby excluded.
6.2 If the customer fails to make payment as provided for above Steelshelving shall have the right to refuse to despatch any goods.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

Steelshelving shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever suffered by the customer in the event of cancellation of the agreement to supply the goods if the supply of such goods would be illegal, contrary to manufacturers conditions of sale or impossible for Steelshelving to perform.

8. TITLE AND RISK

8.1 Risk in the goods shall pass to the customer at the time of delivery to or collection by the customer or its agent whichever is the earlier.
8.2 Legal and beneficial ownership of the goods shall remain with Steelshelving until it has received payment in full for the goods.

9. CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS

All liability for any loss of any nature including consequential loss arising out of the use or supply of the goods is hereby excluded.

10. RETURNS

10.1 All goods shall be deemed accepted unless rejected within 72 hours of delivery/collection of the goods. Notice of rejection must be confirmed in writing giving detailed reasons for rejection. No compensation, credit or right of set-off shall be given by Steelshelving until the same has been received by Steelshelving from the manufacturer, supplier or insurer as the case may be, Goods incorrectly ordered by the customers shall be returnable only at the sole discretion of Steelshelving and subject to a return charge of 20% of the nett order value.
10.2 Any goods being returned for any reason must be packaged in such a way that they are received in the same condition as when they were shipped to the customer, otherwise the amount of credit will be reduced to its resale value.

10.3 We will not credit the delivery cost portion of the order and the cost of returning the order will be the responsibility of the customer.

11. RETURN PROCEDURE

Before returning any goods to Steelshelving the customer shall notify Steelshelving by letter facsimile or E-mail of its desire to return the goods together with the reason for the return.

12. NON DELIVERY

Non delivery of any consignment or part thereof within 14 days of the date of invoice from Steelshelving must be notified in writing to Steelshelving.
12a. Terms of Use Statement

You understand and agree that the owners of this site shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data or other intangible losses (even if the owners of this site have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from the use or the inability to use the product(s) and or service(s) or any misuse of the product(s) and or service(s) in a manner not in accordance with their intended use.

HEALTH & SAFETY for Shelving & Racking.

  • If the height to depth ratio of your steel shelving or racking is more than 4 : 1 then the steel shelving or racking should be secured to the wall and/or floor.
  • Before using any of the kick steps or any step stool without a supporting handle it is essential that you carry out your own Health & Safety Risk Assessment.
